Teresa (Walker) Polk, 54, of Big Spring, died Sunday, March 18, 2012 at University Medical Center in Lubbock. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Mount Bethel Baptist Church with Apostle Ken Loudermill, Rev. Abraham Loudermill, Jr. and Minister Kim Byrd, officiating.
She was born August 8, 1957 in Dallas, Texas to Laura and Abraham Loudermill. She was a veteran of the United States Navy and was stationed in Bahrain. She grew up in Clovis, New Mexico and also lived in Dallas, Hawaii, Europe and Arkansas. She was a Care Giver for mentally retarded with Rock House of Midland. She has been a resident of Big Spring off and on for over 15 years. She was a Baptist.
She is survived by two sons: Tyrone “Tai” Walker of Texarkana and Jason Walker of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; mother: Laura Pollard of Big Spring; 7 grandchildren; five brothers: Apostle Ken Loudermill and Rev. Abe Loudermill both of Arkansas, Terry Loudermill (her twin) of Big Spring, Vince Loudermill of Arkansas and Gerald Loudermill of Big Spring; two sisters: Pat Walker of Big Spring and Kim Byrd of Dallas.
She was preceded in death by fathers Abraham Loudermill and Rev. James Pollard.
Pallbearers will be Jamaal Loudermill, TeVaughn Loudermill, Sidney R. Walker, Taveres Walker, Demar Byrd, Jerrell Loudermill and Jeremy Balios. Honorary pallbearers will be Apostle Ken Loudermill, Rev. Abraham Loudermill, Jr., Terry Loudermill, Vince Loudermill, Jerald Loudermill, Terry Byrd, Cory Loudermill and Steve Fizer.
